MEET THE LAKE CHAMPLAIN VWWP TEAM

The Vermont Welcome Wagon Project's Lake Champlain chapter serves Chittenden and Grand Isle counties. It is managed by the Lake Champlain Chamber, which powers prosperity in the region through five distinct points: seeking economic opportunity for all, celebrating business ownership and entrepreneurship, promoting a robust and diversified visitor economy, cultivating community leadership, and nurturing emerging talent.

Amelia Cayer

Amelia is a lifelong Vermonter who enjoys sharing her love of the Green Mountain State with others. She grew up in Starksboro, attended the University of Vermont in Burlington, and has settled with her husband, Ben, doodle, Nash, and nine hens in Monkton. She currently works as Lake Champlain Chamber's Program Coordinator and assists with many Chamber initiatives including TalentBTV, Leadership Champlain, LaunchVT, and more! She also serves on the Burlington Young Professionals Steering Committee.

Amelia enjoys growing pumpkins, sunflowers, and lots of veggies in the garden! You may also find her cross-country skiing, fishing, hosting brunch, fixing up her house, and adding maple syrup to her coffee (and everything else).

Erin Bombard

Erin is originally from Rochester, New York, and hopped over the lake to Burlington, Vermont after graduating from SUNY Plattsburgh six years ago.

Currently, Erin is the Director of Business and Talent Development at the Lake Champlain Chamber and the Director of Burlington Young Professionals. With her community-centric role, Erin works with the business and young professional community everyday, providing both these entities with the resources and support they need to grow here in Vermont.

When she is not mingling at a networking event, serving on a non-profit board, or running to a ribbon cutting ceremony (or fast walking if she has the giant scissors in her hands), Erin can be found exploring Vermont, running after a nine month old, picking away at a growing list of home renovation projects, or reading anytime she has a spare moment, even if it’s just while waiting for her to-go order to be ready at one of her many favorite eateries.
